Drake confirmed the footprint on 14 September 2026: thirteen countries, Hong Kong off the list and Malaysia on it. The six numbers this prototype had been carrying are kept below, because they say where each figure came from and which sources still need changing.

The spread was never a mystery: the communicated number moved between 13 and 14 as countries closed, and the site and the picker did not move with it. Two sources still say fourteen: Drake’s own 75-year history page and the Founding Story copy taken from it.

What the list still does not fix

The picker is shorter than the footprint

Confirming the thirteen resolved the Hong Kong mismatch: it is off the picker and off the list. Four countries on the list are still missing from the picker: Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea. The picker lists live Drake properties, and no URL has been supplied for any of the four; Drake’s location sheet does carry addresses for the last three.

The legacy site directory lists South Korea and Taiwan sites, which the picker still denies, and a Hong Kong site that is no longer part of the footprint at all. Supplying the four URLs resolves the picker; the legacy directory is a separate decision.
