Bill Pollock's entrepreneurial spirit was never defined by a single idea, industry, or success. It was defined by a mindset, solving problems, creating solutions, and never accepting the status quo.

In 1951, Bill didn't set out to build a recruitment company. He set out to solve a problem, how to help businesses work better. Staffing emerged because Bill was willing to experiment, test ideas, and evolve in real time. That curiosity became his trademark.

It still defines him. Bill had already been in business for 20 years before the first email was ever sent. He started his career selling IBM and NCR computing machines in the 1950s technology that most businesses had never encountered. He pioneered psychometric testing when gut instinct was still the hiring standard. In the 1990s he launched PictureTalk, a video communication platform that predated Zoom by decades. And he helped build the world's first global computerised testing network, the foundation of what is today Kryterion. Bill didn't follow trends. He built them.

Seventy-five years on, he is believed to be the world's longest serving CEO. Not because he held on.
